Love Notions Everyday Playdress

I've heard that the Love Notions Everyday Playdress (Affiliate link) is one of everyone's favorite patterns and always a go-to pattern. I felt like I have enough dress patterns for my daughter so it wasn't on my list.

However, I was wrong.

So, when Tami called a quick update testing sew, I applied since I feel like there's no harm to try a cute pattern anyway.

I chose to use the Ice Cream Treats on Light Pink (Single Brushed Polyester) from Made Of Love Fabrics cause I think it's going to be super cute on a dress.

I chose to make a short-sleeved standard playdress (12/18M size).

Cutting itself was easy, front and back bodice, front and back dress, sleeves and the neckband.

The sewing itself is really straight forward. Shoulders attachment, sleeves attachment.

Then the gather of the skirt, which is usually the part I hate the most. Gathering SBP is not difficult at all, but to make sure you evenly distribute the gather takes some patience. You then attach the skirt separately to the front and the back bodice.

Then, my favorite part..... to sew the side seams in one move from sleeves, bodice to the skirt!

For the neckband and hemming, I used twin needles, which is a life-savor for people without a serger or a cover stitch.

Then... all done! Such a quick and easy sew!

Plus, she really likes it.

Super cute and classic playdress! Some features of this cute dress:

Size: 12M - 16

2 sleeve options: short and long

Plain and crossover bodice.

I am seriously considering making myself a size 16 to match up with her. Super quick sew, you can do it 100% on your sewing machine!

Again, this patter is the Love Notions Everyday Playdress (Affiliate link).

Alright, enough talking. I'll see you in my next blog post! Stay tuned!
