This is totally new to me, blogging.
It's like writing a diary, but this diary is not just for me.
Well, I guess it's more like writing a journal, to keep track of my sewing journey. I think this is right.
In case you don't know me, hi, I am Emily.
I have absolutely zero background related to fashion, clothing, or art (not exactly, since I did paint oil painting as an art project in high school, but whatever). In fact, I received my Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, focusing on conducting research related to brain cancer.
I started sewing after I got my first (and the only so far) sewing machine, Brother CS5055PRW (Amazon link), as my early Christmas gift in November 2018.
With the hope that I can make cute outfits for my dear daughter, who was not even 1 yet at that time, I started my sewing journey.
Self-taught, without having anyone near me who's experienced, there were (and still!) tears here and there. Times I regret my purchase of a sewing machine and wanted to quit because I don't know know how to make a single thing, I am glad I am still here, happily sewing.
